Charles Owen has been manufacturing the highest performance helmets in Britain since 1911.
Since the first helmet was made in Bow, London we have worked tirelessly to improve safety for all equestrians.

110 years later, all Charles Owen helmets are still handmade by a team of highly skilled technicians, now based at our award-winning factory in North Wales, using only the highest quality performance materials.

Our in-house engineers are constantly raising the bar for safety, for the entire equestrian industry in our ‘Home of Innovation’ lab. It’s here we develop our patented technologies and the ever-safer helmets of tomorrow.

In 1984, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II awarded Charles Owen the Royal Warrant as protective headgear supplier to the Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace, a warrant that we still hold to this day.

To own a Charles Owen helmet is to own a part of equestrian history, as well as its future.
